3. Booking and Payment
- Estimates: All moving cost estimates are based on the information provided by the customer. Any changes to the scope of services, such as additional items, will result in a revised estimate.
- Deposits: A deposit may be required to secure your moving date. This deposit will be applied toward the total cost of your move.
- Final Payment: Payment for services is due upon completion of the move, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. We accept payment via credit card, debit card, or cash. Failure to make full payment may result in additional fees or the retention of your belongings until payment is received.

4. Limitations of Liability
- Damage to Property: While we take great care in handling your belongings, Highland City Movers is not responsible for damage to items not properly packed by our team. If you choose to pack your own belongings, you assume the risk of any damage during transport.
- High-Value Items: We recommend that you notify us of any high-value or fragile items prior to your move. For items such as antiques, artwork, or valuable electronics, additional packing or handling may be required to ensure their safety. Highland City Movers is not liable for damage to high-value items unless they have been professionally packed by our team.
- Personal Injury: Highland City Movers is not liable for any injuries sustained by the customer or third parties during the moving process. We advise that you avoid entering areas where our team is working to prevent accidents.
- Delays: While we strive to meet all scheduled delivery times, Highland City Movers is not responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, such as traffic, weather conditions, or government regulations.
5. Insurance and Claims
- Basic Coverage: All moves include basic coverage for loss or damage, as required by law. This coverage is typically calculated at a rate of $0.60 per pound per item.
- Additional Insurance: If you wish to obtain additional protection for your belongings, we recommend purchasing third-party moving insurance. Highland City Movers does not provide additional insurance beyond the basic coverage.
- Claims Process: If any damage or loss occurs during the move, you must notify us in writing within 14 days of the move. We will investigate the claim and provide compensation according to the terms of our coverage.

- Hazardous materials, including but not limited to explosives, flammable liquids, and toxic chemicals.
- Perishable food items, unless properly packed and intended for short-distance moves.

- Storage Facilities: If you require temporary or long-term storage, Highland City Movers offers secure, climate-controlled storage solutions. Storage fees are calculated based on the volume of items and the length of time in storage.
